When I was pregnant with my first child I developed a blood disorder where I had a low platelet count. My blood was unable to clot. I could bleed to death. After I gave birth, I woke up and had to have 2 units of blood.

Employment and Posting Policies

NOTE:
The Alabama and Central Gulf Coast Region reserves the right to waive the length of employment requirement for internal position posting through the Red Cross Blood Services Internal Posting System when it is in the best interest of the organization. All qualified employees who are not in a Performance Improvement Plan are invited to apply for a posted internal position. Recruitment may include, but is not limited to internal job posting, employee referrals, advertising, and participation in job fairs. POSTING POLICY:
Bargaining Unit positions are posted for a period of at least seven (7) days excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. All others are as follows - Non-exempt positions are posted for five (5) working days Exempt positions are posted for ten (10) working days. Posting Location: All position openings will be posted in Human Resources, as well as areas accessible for employees.
